The smartwatch trend is catching on and many big companies are now jumping into the ring. Both Samsung and Sony already cater to the market with their smartwatches and over the next couple of months LG and Motorola are expected to unveil their new wearable devices. While not much has been revealed about the latter at this point in time a new report claims to have “confirmed” the Moto 360 price.
When Motorola unveiled the Moto 360 smartwatch it generated a lot of buzz primarily because in terms of design alone its smartwatch blows the competition out of the water. Its round design has been appreciated by many, and even though its said to cause manufacturing problems, it may very well end up becoming one of the biggest selling points of this wearable device.
A French website reports that the Moto 360 price is going to be €249. It also claims that Motorola is going to release the smartwatch this July. However it wasn’t clarified if the launch will take place in the European market first or together with North America. So we will have to wait for official word to find out where exactly the smartwatch goes on sale first.
Rumor has it that initially the Moto 360 will only be available in limited quantities due to production issues. It is possible that LG might beat it to the market with its Android Wear based G Watch, which is expected to sell for €199 in France.
