Over the last couple of weeks there have been rumors going around about Microsoft working on a successor to Nokia’s very popular Lumia 520 smartphone. Since the Finnish company’s devices and services business is now owned by Redmond Microsoft will be the one carrying the torch forward. Its believed to be called the Lumia 530 and today a leaked picture might be our very first look at it.
Purported specifications taken from benchmark results show that the Lumia 530 might have a 800×480 pixel resolution display and an Adreno 305 GPU. Its not much to go on at this point in time but details about this device are scarce for now.
One thing is for sure though. Lumia 520 was primarily popular because of its low price point so even if the specs aren’t top-notch the price will likely be a major selling point. Rumor has it that the Lumia 530 will make its way to T-Mobile and may possibly be called the Nokia Rise, though its unclear if that’s a codename or the actual moniker.
The leaked picture shows that this smartphone may not have any physical navigation keys and possibly no front facing camera as well. Its display might be 4.3-inches when compared side-by-side to the Lumia 630 which has a 4.5-inch display.
There’s no confirmation on any of this from the company and it is not known when an the release is scheduled for.
