Lomography Launches Lomo’Instant Kickstarter Campaign

Lomography’s range of cameras are typically of the film variety, meaning that you can’t go back delete photos like a digital camera, and it also means that you will need to either develop the film yourself, or find someone to do it for you. The good news is that if you wanted a Lomography camera with the fun filters and effects, but have Polaroid’s instant-print functionality, you could, thanks to the Lomo’Instant camera.

Lomography has recently announced a new Kickstarter campaign in which they are seeking funding to help make the Lomo’Instant camera a reality. This essentially creates a Lomography camera that can take photos and print them on the spot, much like you would expect from a Polaroid camera.

As for the camera itself, it will sport a 27mm equivalent lens with 0.4m close focusing distance. There will be a built-in flash, a tripod mount, fish, and portrait lens attachments, and also color gels to help add those weird and funky-looking effects that we’ve come to expect from Lomography cameras.

The Lomo’Instant is expected to retail between $120-$150 and is scheduled to be made available in November 2014, assuming that the Kickstarter campaign manages to reach the necessary funding, so if you’d like to learn more or contribute to Lomography’s campaign, hit up its Kickstarter page for the details.
