lg-smart-chatLG, the South Korean consumer electronics giant, has introduced its latest range of premium smart appliances which are able to “chat” – allowing consumers to communicate in a convenient and personal manner. The revolutionary HomeChat messaging service will make use of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and LINE, where the latter happens to be one of the more popular mobile messenger apps out there with more than 300 million users to their name.

This allows homeowners to communicate, control, monitor and share content with LG’s latest smart appliances. It will definitely introduce an entire range of convenience to the masses, where among the different premium smart appliance lineup would include a camera-equipped refrigerator, a washing machine that enables users to start and download washing cycles remotely via HomeChat, as well as a Lightwave oven which is capable of supporting NFC and WiFi for convenient control from any location.

Since LG HomeChat also incorporates the popular LINE application, users are able to receive recommendations and control settings whenever they are away from home. There is a trio of different modes to choose from – Vacation, Away and Return-home. LG’s latest service also makes things fun, since all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy – as there are more than 40 unique LINE stickers that will add to an enjoyable, personal component to conversations.
