LG G3’s Camera Will Have A Laser Autofocus System [Rumor]

The LG G2 came with a pretty impressive camera, one which we did not really expect from LG, especially since LG wasn’t exactly known for their smartphone cameras. Based on that, we can only assume that this will be the same for the LG G3, if not better. Well according to the folks at The Verge, they have found out one new feature of the LG G3: a laser autofocus system.

Basically what this feature does is that it helps to measure the depth of the subject that you are planning on capturing. This is an advantage over the optical system as it allows for greater precision and speed, meaning that the LG G3’s camera should prove to be a pretty fast affair, so you don’t have to worry about missing the shot.

In fact this is one of the reasons why the iPhone’s camera is so good. iPhone users are probably familiar with how the phone can quickly focus and capture an image almost right away. This is compared to other devices which might be a bit slow in the autofocusing department, thus leading to delayed capture times. Assuming that this is true, then the LG G3 camera is definitely one to keep an eye out for.

So far what we know about the LG G3’s camera is that there will be a rear-facing camera with a 13MP sensor. There will also be a front-facing 2.1MP sensor and will also be able to support gestures, meaning that if you want to take a selfie without pressing the shutter, all you’d have to do is clench your fist in front of it.
