An official announcement from LG for its 2014 flagship smartphone is not far off. The company is believed to have already showed off many features of the device at a “secret” event for retailers in South Korea. On the other hand there is certainly no shortage of rumors about the LG G3’s specifications. The company’s UK website now has a document up which contains all specs, and if its accurate, then the LG G3 microSD slot will be capable of external expansion of up to 2TB.
To put things in perspective bear in mind that each Terabyte is equal to 1024 Gigabytes, this should give you an idea of how much external storage the LG G3 might be capable of handling. Unless someone at LG UK made a blunder while transcribing the specifications, that still remains a possibility.
Obviously one has to have a 2TB microSD card to take advantage of support. It would be more appropriate to think of this as LG future-proofing its 2014 flagship, support will be there when a 2TB card finally hits the market in the future.
Other than that the aforementioned document lists all of the specifications that we’ve already heard countless times. A Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB RAM, 5.5 inch display with 1,440×2,560 pixel resolution, 13 megapixel rear camera, 16GB onboard storage and a 3,000mAh battery. LG is going to make an official announcement on Tuesday, the 27th of May.
