Given the sheer amount of rumors and leaks we have seen about the LG G3 it appears that the company finds it impossible to keep a device under wraps. An event has already been scheduled for tomorrow where LG is finally going to make the official announcement. Even though almost all details have been leaked, a new picture has surfaced online which compares the 2014 flagship’s size against the HTC One M8.
Obviously there is going to be a major difference in the size of both smartphones given the fact that LG G3 has a 5.5-inch display as opposed to the M8’s 5-inch display. LG’s flagship is noticeably bigger than HTC’s even though it happens to be quite compact. If size is one of the things you’re concerned about then this should give you an idea of how the smartphone stacks up against its 5-inch rivals.
One can also clearly see what is believed to be a laser auto-focus assist light on the back. Apparently this will be used to make focusing on objects more accurate and significantly faster than before, aiding the G3’s 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization.
The LG G3’s defining feature will certainly be its 5.5-inch 2,560×1,440 pixel resolution “2K” display. It is believed that to compete with this smartphone both Samsung and HTC will launch “Prime” variants of their existing flagships which will tout 2K displays as well.
