vibe-z2-pro-1Back in November 2013, Lenovo showed off a phone called the Lenovo Vibe Z. Well it looks like the Chinese company is coming back for a sequel in the form of the Leonov Vibe Z2 Pro, at least according to a report from a Chinese publication who has also posted a photo of the upcoming device (pictured above).

Based on the specs the device, it seems that Lenovo has created for themselves a phablet with some pretty impressive hardware specs. For starters, the phone will pack a QHD display, giving it a resolution of 2560×1440. This puts it on par with devices like the Oppo Find 7, Vivo Xplay 3S, and the upcoming LG G3.

The handset also appears to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset clocked at 2.5GHz, a 4,000mAh battery, NFC connectivity, and also a 16MP rear-facing camera that will feature optical image stabilization. Unfortunately there was no mention as to which version of Android the phone will run on, but presumably it will be the latest version of Android, or at least the version before.

No word on when Lenovo plans on announcing the Vibe Z2 Pro either, but given that Lenovo’s releases rarely make their way stateside, there is a chance that we might not see the Vibe Z2 Pro grace our shelves anytime soon, but what do you guys think? Is the Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro a phone you might be interested in?
