I know that the world is more or less moving in the direction of “slim is in” when it comes to industrial design and the ilk, as we have seen some strong evidence of this in the different kinds of flat screen TVs that have been announced over the years, where screen sizes get larger while bezels begin to shrink. @evleaks has tweeted over the weekend on a new Android-powered tablet that hails from HP, with what you see above being an alleged press shot.
For those who have gotten used to the idea of a slim bezel on your tablets as well as smartphones, chances are you would be pretty shocked to see the leaked image of an alleged HP tablet that is set to be unleashed upon the masses soon. The reason? A really, really fat bezel that is more out of the ordinary than the norm these days.
From the leaked image, we are able to see a white tablet that sports a front-facing camera, while there is the traditional Hewlett Packard branding located on the front, with the classic HP logo on the back. At the back lies another camera that will keep the speaker company. A thick bezel does have its advantages – you can hold on to the slate without letting your palm touch it by accident, which means there will be less risk of messing around with the tablet unintentionally.
