According to reports, Bryant was there to meet with Apple’s design guru, Jony Ive, to discuss upcoming products. It is unclear as to what Apple wants to do with Bryant, or where he even fits into Apple’s marketing, but safe to say that his appearance on Apple’s campus has generated a lot of interest.
It is possible that perhaps Apple would like to talk to Bryant about possibly endorsing Beats headphones, especially since the rumors are suggesting that the Apple-Beats deal could be finalized next week. Then again some have speculated it could be about watches as well, since Bryant has signed endorsement deals with Hublot, a Swiss watch brand.
Assuming the latter is true, it could be that Apple is trying to promote its iWatch through celebrity sponsorships. After all there are plenty of smartwatches in the market already, and if Apple can get a leg up on the competition through celebrity endorsements, it could help their device stand out from the pack. In any case it’s all speculation for now, but what do you guys think? What could Bryant be doing on Apple’s campus?
