Over the past couple of weeks, we have been treated to a landslide’s worth of iPhone 6 photos, with the most recent from today, and we even had one yesterday which showed off the rumored curved display. That being said, the folks at 9to5Mac have managed to get their hands on a couple of photos which shows off more iPhone 6 dummy units.
Now these dummy units have so far been used by case manufacturers to predict what the iPhone 6 could look like, which in turn will help them make cases and accessories that will fit. There’s no telling if these dummy units are actually based on the actual design, but they do seem to resemble leaked schematics that we have seen in the past.
However if there’s one interesting thing about these new photos is that it shows off a dummy unit that comes in a gold finish, which was one of the finishes offered in the iPhone 5s, and presumably will be offered with the iPhone 6 as well. After all it seemed like the gold finish proved to be a popular choice amongst consumers, presumably thanks to it not looking overly ostentatious.
These dummy units also shows a gold colored inlay in the Touch ID portion of the phone. It was present in the previous photo that we saw, but hopefully this is not part of Apple’s new design, since it does stick out like a sore thumb. Presumably it will be removed upon its release, much like the iPhone 5s. In any case like we mentioned earlier, try not to get your hopes up just yet, but so far with no one coming forth to deny these designs, we’re starting to think that it could be the real deal.
