HTC One (M8) Sales Might Have Hit 500,000 Already

We all jolly well know just how the HTC One (M8) does come with its fair share of high end hardware specifications, but does this mean that the smartphone itself is going to sell lots just because of its pedigree? While Taiwan-based manufacturer HTC has yet to step forward to reveal all of the exact sales details of their flagship HTC One (M8) smartphone, the art of deduction might be able to shed some light on the situation. How about making an educated guess through a look at the handset’s system apps?

HTC has, after all, moved some of the system apps out of the phone, making them part of the Google Play Store instead. Through the act of doing so, it makes life a whole lot easier for HTC to send out updates to these apps, in addition to them arriving in a far more timely manner.

As of last Friday, the system apps that were listed in the Google Play Store which were specially developed for the HTC One (M8) was seen to have been downloaded 100,000 to 500,000 times, which is a wide range, and since the very same apps were “upgraded” to the next category of 500,000 to 1,000,000 downloads, it can be safe to make the assumption that the HTC One (M8) has already sold at least 500,000 units. A far cry from the likes of the iPhone and Galaxy series from Samsung, but it is progress.
