It does seem as though the folks over at HTC are working on a new smartphone that will continue in the same vein as that of the Butterfly range. This particular phone has been rumored to be the HTC B2, where it will continue to fly the flag of the Butterfly family high and proud. This alleged handset will be launched in places such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and other parts of Asia, and it does not seem as though it will be released anywhere else. That’s certainly a big pity.
Just to make sure that everyone is on the same page, the alleged HTC B2’s predecessors have also done something similar in the past, where the HTC Butterfly itself has been confined to a certain continent, although one must take into consideration that first Butterfly is more or less a renamed version of the HTC Droid DNA for Verizon over in the US.
It is said that the HTC B2 will share similar hardware specifications as that with the HTC One M8, although the B2’s rear camera might ditch the Duo Camera for a more ‘normal’ 13MP shooter. What do you think of this particular development – has your interest piqued in the HTC B2?
