When it comes to tablet devices, the folks over at HP have had their fair share of releases in the past, although this time around, the purported HP Slate 8 Plus has been spotted over in a Wi-Fi certification site that depicts the rumored tablet as running on the Android mobile operating system platform, has 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as support for dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5GHz networks.
As the name of this particular tablet suggests, the HP Slate 8 Plus will feature an 8” display (although we would not quite rule out the possibility of a 7.85” display, either), with the “Plus” suffix being a decent indicator that this particular tablet could be a wee bit higher up the proverbial food chain compared to the regular HP 8, where that particular model sported a quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU, 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory and a 1024 x 768 pixel display.
It is always nice to be able to enjoy a faster processor, have more memory as well as revel in a higher resolution display, but until something official is released, we will just have to approach the HP Slate 8 Plus with more caution than usual. There is room to accommodate the presence of the HP Slate 8 Plus, since there was a HP Slate 7 Plus before.
