Exploring new malls can be fun, it can also be tiring if you don’t know what you are looking for, so instead of combing every floor and looking at every shop, Google Now apparently will be able to list you the mall’s entire shops so you know what’s available to you. All you’d have to do is show up at the mall and fire up Google Now which should then be able to present you with a list of shops in the mall, like in the screenshots above.
From here you are able to look for shops that you’ll want to check out, or to see if a particular shop you were looking for is in the mall. For the most part most malls have your usual shops, like clothing stores, departmental stores, DIY hardware stores, and so on, but just in case you were looking for a specific brand or outlet, this will pull it up in a pinch.
Of course you could always go to the mall’s directory, but sometimes the directory does not get updated after a mall has expanded or undergone renovation, so those aren’t exactly the most reliable either. The only downside to this feature is that it does not actually tell you where in the mall a particular shop is, so you’ll still have to go hunting for it, but hey at least you know that it’s there, right? So the next time you’re at the mall, why not fire up Google Now and give it a shot?
