Back in April, Google decided that for one day only, they would open up the sale of Google Glass to the public. This meant that if you’ve always wanted your own pair of Google Glass devices, you had that one day to buy it. Well it looks like Google might have had a change of heart because it seems that they are now opening up Google Glass to the public once again.
The company has announced that starting from today, anyone who wishes to own a pair of Google Glass can go ahead and purchase one for themselves. However Google does note that this will be limited to how much stock they have on hand, so if Google is out of stock, then you’d be out of luck.
According to their post, “Last week we told you we’d be trying out new ways to find Explorers. Well, we weren’t kidding. We learned a lot when we opened our site a few weeks ago, so we’ve decided to move to a more open beta.” Presumably these Google Glass devices will be sold as an Explorer unit, meaning that they are still pretty pricey at $1,500.
If you don’t mind spending that much, then all you’d have to do is head on over to the Google Glass product page to place your order. So, any takers?
