Gmail For Android Updated

The folks over at Google have introduced a brand new update to their Gmail for Android app, and the rollout has already kicked off earlier today. Of course, this would mean that in the course of the coming few days, more and more people who work with Android devices – tablets and smartphones alike, will be able to enjoy this particular update that will deliver a slew of new features, including the ability to save to Google Drive, apart from offering better support for right-to-left languages.

Being able to save to Google Drive is definitely an extremely welcome addition no matter how you look at it – no longer do you need to download attachments to your smartphone or tablet which will eventually take up more and more space over the course of time, such attachments can be uploaded to Google Drive directly, making it easier to access as well, whether you are at the office or outside of it.

Apart from that, spam explanations will let you know why a particular message has ended up in the spam folder, and this gives a wee bit of insight into how Google thinks when it comes to grading the kind of email that heads your way.

English speakers are used to reading sentences from left-to-right, but many languages are written from right-to-left, including Arabic, Hebrew and Persian. Gmail for Android will now adapt itself to those languages, making it look and feel accordingly. Are you pleased with the latest update?
