Unfortunately not much is known about the game at the moment, but as you can see, it looks like Nguyen will be sticking to the retro, 8-bit like graphics that he used in Flappy Bird as well. It also looks like some kind of endless runner game, at least from what we can tell. Games like that are usually pretty fun since they don’t have a steep learning curve, and they’re usually pretty easy to start and stop.
According to Nguyen, “I am making a new game. So people can forget about Flappy Bird for a while.” Will Nguyen’s next game have the same amount of success as Flappy Bird? Well that’s a bit hard to say, but the good news is that Nguyen has confirmed that a sequel to Flappy Bird will be released this August.
He also confirmed that in the new version of Flappy Bird, it will come with multiplayer functionality, although we’re not sure how that will work out. Either way we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for both the Flappy Bird sequel and whatever game Nguyen is working on in the screenshot above, so check back with us later for the details.
