For a long time, it seemed that the World of Warcraft movie might never come to fruition, especially after the changing of directors. Well after Duncan Jones took over the project, things finally started to happen and according to a recent tweet by the director, it seems that the World of Warcraft movie has been completed!
According to Jones, filming has officially come to an end, a good five months or so after it began in January this year. “Final day on Warcraft now officially… wrapped!! Off to bed for 3 hours before a meeting in the AM. Goodnight/good morning twitter!” Of course for those following the news, you guys probably know that it’s still going to be a while until we see the finished product.
The movie has been scheduled for a release on the 11th of March 2016 and it has been estimated that the movie will take about 20 months or so for post-production work, so hopefully we can look forward to an amazing film, and not another failed video game-cum-movie effort. While the exact plot of the movie remains unknown, it has been suggested that it will most likely be an early Warcraft story.
This means that we can expect it to be more about Orcs and Humans, as opposed to some of the newer content that we’ve seen. The trailer for the movie is also expected to debut at Comic-Con 2014, which is scheduled for the 24th-27th of July. It is most likely a teaser trailer that we can expect, as opposed to a full blown one, but safe to say many are looking forward to it anyway.
