Creative director Alex Hutchinson used Twitter as the communication vehicle of choice to explain the box art, “Just so it’s clear for those jumping to conclusions: He’s not white and that’s not the player.” Then, there is the question which remains to be answered (at least until the game is released, that is), who is the man in the pink suit? If he is not the protagonist of the game, could he be one with the bad guys?
Apparently, there was a quick update on the Uplay website which shed more information on Far Cry 4’s synopsis before it was pulled down, mentioning, “Hidden in the majestic Himalayas lies Kyrat, a country steeped in tradition and violence. You are Ajay Ghale. Traveling to Kyrat to fulfill your mother’s dying wish, you find yourself caught up in a civil war to overthrow the oppressive regime of dictator Pagan Min.” Could the man in the pink suit be Pagan Min? Only time will tell, but it is going to be quite a while before November arrives.
