Good news gamers, if you were hoping to get your hands on older Battlefield titles, such as Battlefield 3, you might be pleased to learn that EA has officially announced that they will be making the game free for a week. What this means is that if you weren’t willing to pay for the game before, you will be able to go ahead and download it this week and play it free forever.
According to EA, all you’d have to do is add the game to your Origin (EA’s gaming platform, like what Steam is to Valve) game library and you will be able to keep the game forever. However like we said, this offer is only valid for a week so even if you don’t foresee yourself playing the game anytime soon due to a busy schedule, you should probably just download and keep it anyway, so that you can fire it up anytime later.
EA has also announced that they will be making Plants vs. Zombies free for download as well on both the PC and Mac. This will work the same as Battlefield 3 and all players will have to do is download the game, add it to their Origin library and they’ll be good to go. Like we said, this is a limited offer so if you had your eyes on Battlefield 3 but did not want to spend the money, you have got until the 3rd of June to download and keep the game in your Origin library, so what are you waiting for?
