ASUS C200 Chromebook Amazon Pre-Order Goes Live
Ah, the Chromebook. I suppose one can call this the spiritual successor of the netbook, where modern day Chromebooks seem to have the necessary processing power to remain competitive in the market. The ASUS C200 Chromebook that was announced earlier this month, having appeared on other online vendors as a pre-order item, has finally made its way over to the clutches of Amazon in the form of a pre-order as well, where you can pick it up for $249 a pop. Shipping of the ASUS C200 Chromebook is tipped to happen this coming June 10th, 2014.
What makes the ASUS C200 Chromebook so special? Well, it happens to be one of the first Chrome OS devices out there that will feature an Intel Bay Trail processor, which is a low power chip that Intel claims will be able to maximize the number of hours you spend working on the Chromebook without having to drop by the nearest power outlet.
Apart from that, there are other hardware specifications such as 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, an 11.6” display at 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution, 802.11ac dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, an SDXC memory card slot, an HDMI port, a solitary USB 3.0 port and one USB 2.0 port.
