Interestingly enough, it seems that Apple has removed the link to the iPod classic in the sidebar of its US and Canadian refurbished stores, suggesting that perhaps that Apple could be bringing an end to the iPod classic once and for all, although the actual page is still up and running without any listings.
Considering that the iPod classic has been around for many, many years, we guess all good things must come to an end eventually. In fact Apple has not updated the iPod classic in the past few years, although to be fair there has not really been any need to, given that the iPod classic is still used and love by many music lovers looking for a device that can hold many songs with an affordable price tag.
The device is still up for sale on Apple’s website so we have to wonder what the removal of the iPod classic from the refurbished store’s sidebar means. Could it be that Apple no longer wants to encourage users to buy refurbished iPod classics in a bid to help phase the product out? We guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
