Apple’s Rainbow Logos To Go Up For Auction

Apple’s logo is pretty iconic, then again an apple for the logo of a company called Apple isn’t that hard to fathom. That being said, if you’re a huge Apple fan or just like to collect pieces of history, it seems that a pair of signs that used to be on the wall of Apple’s headquarters has gone up for auction. These aren’t the new Apple signs, mind you, but rather the rainbow Apple logo that used to grace older Apple products.

These signs are expected to be sold anywhere between $10,000 to $15,000 and will be going on sale come early June. It is admittedly a pretty hefty price to pay for a company logo, but like we said, it’s not only iconic, but a piece of history too. The signs themselves were used from 1977 until the late 1990s, so as you can see in the image above, there is definite wear and tear noticeable on them.

The signs will be of different sizes. The larger will measure 46-inches by 49-inches and will be made of foam, while the smaller one will be made from metal-back fiberglass and measures 33-inches by 36-inches. It does seem like a lot of money to pay for a foam logo, in all honesty, but we guess its significance could be worth that much to some people. So what do you guys think?
