One of the unique design features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 would be its faux leather back. This added a slightly different look and feel to the handset, which is also a nice change from the glossy plastic that Samsung typically goes for. In fact we guess the faux leather also silenced critics who seemed to lambast Samsung’s use of plastic.
That being said, it looks like the faux leather design could be catching on, thanks to a series of recently leaked photos (via G For Games) which shows off a new Huawei handset that also appears to be sporting a faux leather design as well. The handset in question is the Glory 3X Pro and according to the rumors, it looks like it is a handset that could give the Galaxy Note 3 a run for its money.
The Glory 3X Pro is said to sport a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p display. It is also rumored to be powered by a MediaTek MT6592 octa-core chipset. It will be accompanied by 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and all of this can be had for around $272, which is presumably its off-contract price as it looks like it could only be sold in China.
That’s pretty darn affordable for a phone with such specs. While it looks good on paper we can’t be sure ourselves how well it performs, but so far it definitely looks good, but until Huawei makes the official announcement, do take it with a grain of salt for now.
