How are they planning on doing that? By integrating these glasses with Apple’s iBeacon technology, of course. We guess it’s the same concept as those Bluetooth tags we’ve seen, except that these are designed for sunglasses. The idea is that your phone will be able to alert you when you are trying to look for your sunglasses and will inform you just how far away you are from them.
It sounds like a great idea but unfortunately there are only 6 designs to choose from at the moment. The company claims that these designs are based on the analysis of thousands of faces that are supposed to bring out the best in every face. We’re sure some of you guys will appreciate the design, but for those after something more sporty like Oakleys, you’d be out of luck.
The glasses will be handcrafted in Japan although the company is based in Australia. As for the glasses alone, they are expected to be priced at $230 if pre-ordered via the crowd funding project (which has yet to be launched) but will retail for $322 upon launch, which is currently scheduled for December 2014 – January 2015. Sounds pretty interesting, but what do you guys think?
