We’re sure you might have heard by now that BlackBerry and T-Mobile have recently announced that their licensing deal would be coming to an end, and that the deal will not be renewed. Given T-Mobile’s recent tactics which appear to target BlackBerry customers, it’s safe to say that the relationship between both companies aren’t exactly what it used to be.
However it seems that T-Mobile is not done with BlackBerry just yet. The carrier has recently announced a new deal targeting BlackBerry users where they are offering customers a $200 gift card if they were willing to buy a new Samsung smartphone, which presumably would take the place of their BlackBerry device.
While BlackBerry might not be doing so hot at the moment, the action of carriers like T-Mobile are definitely not making things easier by tempting BlackBerry users to switch for money. This deal is only valid for BlackBerry and JUMP! customers, so if that describes you, head on over to T-Mobile’s website for the details.
T-Mobile does not specify when this deal would end, but stated that it has been in effect since the 3rd of April and that it is a limited time offer, so if you are in the market for a new handset and would not mind giving up your BlackBerry for a Samsung, perhaps this is an offer you might want to consider.
