Sony Xperia Z2 Pre-Orders Reopened In Europe

We’re sure some of our readers have heard that the Sony Xperia Z2 is currently facing delays. The good news is that it looks like maybe Sony might have figured out a way to deal with their production issues or whatever it is that is causing the delay because according to reports, Sony has since reopened pre-orders for the handset across its European websites.

This includes countries like the UK, France, Spain, and Poland where customers can go ahead and place their pre-orders. For our European readers, it seems that whatever pre-order bonuses that Sony has offered before is still in effect, so for example if you were to pre-order the handset in the UK, you can look forward to getting the Sony SRS-BTX300 NFC speakers for free.

Sony has also stated that they are planning to begin delivery of the SIM free models in the beginning of May, which is an improvement over the previous report which suggested that it could be delayed until the end of May. However these are the SIM free models meaning that they’re not tied to any carrier, so if you were hoping for subsidies from particular carriers, you’d have to wait for those carriers to make their own announcements.

While there’s no guarantee, it has been speculated that there is also a chance that other retailers such as Carphone Warehouse, Phones4U, Vodafone, and EE to start offering the phone starting from next week.
