Samsung is definitely quite the adept hand when it comes to rolling out mobile devices of all sizes, ranging from the entry level to the mid-range and going all the way to the high end spectrum. Well, an unknown quantity from Samsung, the SM-T2558, has recently been spotted.
Bear in mind that the Samsng SM-T2558 is most probably not a smartphone, since it comes with a 7” display which would certainly place it in the tiny tablet, or perhaps large phablet category, with dimensions that measure 191.24mm x 99.7mm x 8.95 mm, where it tips the scales at 245 grams. Of course, it also has the ability to make voice calls, too, which certainly places this into the phablet category despite the size.
When one compares the Samsung SM-T2558 to the other 7” tablets from Samsung such as the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 SM-T230, or the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 SM-T210, it is not only narrower in stature, but taller as well. Chinese authorities have already approved the SM-T2558 earlier this month, where it does seem to be making its way toward China Mobile. Other specifications include Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, TD-LTE and TD-SCDMA connectivity, an 8MP shooter at the back, a 2MP front-facing camera, a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1.5GB RAM, and a microSD memory card slot.
