Thankfully this issue has not affected too many units and have since come forward and acknowledged the issue. Samsung has also recently stated that only a very limited number of handsets have been affected by the problem and according to a statement that Samsung released to Reuters, they explained what it was that has caused the problem.
”We have discovered that the issue has been seen in a very limited portion of early production Galaxy S5 units, and was caused by complications in the ROM (Read Only Memory) component which stores the information necessary to operate the camera.” Samsung also states that future models that were released are free of the issue, so if you had your eyes on the Galaxy S5, you can go ahead and purchase it.
Naturally if your handset has been affected, Samsung welcomes you to return the phone to where you bought it to get a replacement unit, or as per our previous post, you can head on over to Verizon (if you bought it from them) to get a replacement device. So much for being an early adopter, huh?
