Remember the other day we reported that the latest Pebble 2.1 update essentially bricked the smartwatch? The update basically turned the smartwatch into a regular watch as all it could do is tell the time and whenever the app was launched, it would crash. Thankfully Pebble has fixed the issue and has since released a newer update that should solve the problem.
Pebble has released version 2.1.1 of the update for its iOS app that should fix the issue with version 2.1. I don’t have the Pebble watch with me, so I cannot attest to whether or not the latest update has fixed the bug right away, but hopefully for the sake of Pebble users, it has. We have them in the office though.
In addition to the bug fix, Pebble has also included a couple of new features which we guess is to make up for all the trouble. These new features includes the ability to share apps with friends via email, Twitter, Facebook, or text message, along with a handful of new Pebble-related apps that have been added to the appstore.
So if you’re a Pebble user who was annoyed and affected by the previous update that rendered the smartwatch useless, the update should be available for download so hit up the iTunes App Store for the download.
