However it seems that the LTE version of the Tegra Note 7 could be close to being launched, thanks to a recent sighting at the FCC. Usually this means that the device has been submitted to the FCC for approval for sale in the US, meaning that the manufacturer has plans of launching the device and is one step closer from making its way onto the shelves of retailers.
Once again no specific dates were mentioned, but like we said, we’re now one step closer to seeing it released. Just in case you might have missed our previous coverage, here’s a quick recap on some of the specifications of the tablet that you might be able to expect. The Tegra Note will feature a 7-inch 1280×800 display and will be powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 4 processor, obviously.
It will come with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage with support for microSD card expansion, a VGA front-facing camera, a 5MP rear-facing camera, and like the FCC filing suggests, will come with support for LTE connectivity. However we should note that the FCC filing refers to the device as the Tegra Note 7C, as opposed to the Tegra Note 7 LTE, but presumably the C could stand for “cellular”.
In any case if you were impressed with the original Tegra Note 7 and are looking forward to the LTE model, do check back with us at a later date to see if there are any additional details that can be had.
