The YouTube video that was uploaded by Team Mojang shows off the terrain creation feature, where it will arrive alongside Minecraft update 1.8. This particular feature will include 16 different sliders for players to play around with whenever they building their environment, where among them would include biome depth, height and weight, not to mention the field’s depth of noise. Players too, are able to make use of such sliders in order to play around with these variables or input values directly, where one would then have absolute control when it comes to how one would like to generate structures in the environment.
Mojang is set to offer seven pre-set terrain options in the update which they feel that players will find “interesting,” and these will function as the jumping-off points when it comes to creating their own environments. The pre-sets will also be accompanied by a world which is comprised majority of floating islands. Expect Minecraft update 1.8 to arrive sometime next month.
