Yup, you read that right, so not only are these laptops slightly faster, but they are cheaper as well. The entry-level 11-inch model will sport a 1.4GHz Intel Core i5 processor and will be priced at $899. The 13-inch entry level model will also sport a 1.4GHz Intel Core i5 processor and will cost $999 instead.
The laptops are also configurable and users can choose to bump the clock speeds up to 1.7GHz and an Intel Core i7 chipset that can be Turbo Boosted up to 3.3GHz. This will cost an additional $150 but if you don’t need the extra processing power, then we reckon $999 for a 13-inch model is more than capable of getting the job done, not to mention value for money as well.
All the laptops will continue featuring the Intel HD Graphics 5000 GPU which is reportedly pretty decent as far as integrated GPUs are concerned, so if you were hoping to get some gaming done while on the go, the Intel HD Graphics 5000 should be able to handle it. All laptops are available to ship within 24 hours of you placing your order so if you’d like to check it out, hit up the Apple Store for the details.
