LithiumCard Is A Charger That Can Fit In Your Wallet

Want to be able to charge your phone wherever you go? If that prospect sounds appealing to you but you don’t want to have to lug around a huge external battery pack, you might be interested in the LithiumCard. The charger was originally an Indiegogo project but it has since surpassed its original goal of $30,000 and has managed to rack up almost $170,000 in pledges, so safe to say that this project is good to go.

For those unfamiliar with the LithiumCard, it’s essentially a charger you can bring around with you relatively easily, thanks to its small nature and thin profile which measures 5.5mm thin, allowing you to easily slip it into your pocket or bag without it taking up too much space. But not only is the LithiumCard thin and easy to bring around, it is also fast.

According to testing that has been done with the LithiumCard, it can apparently charge a phone almost twice as fast as a standard USB charger. Granted it’s not as fast as the StoreDot that charges phones in under a minute, but we reckon it’s still pretty good, especially if you need that extra bit of juice to last you until the end of the day.

Now the downside of the device is that it only packs a 1,200mAh battery. This is a lot smaller than most Android smartphones these days, and it is also smaller than the iPhone, but we guess its fast charging profile and its slim and compact nature means that it was probably designed to be used in emergency situations as opposed to being used to charge a phone casually.
