With the announcement of Google’s Android Wear SDK, we saw LG and Motorola enter the wearables fray, although to be fair Motorola has released wearables in the past, but nothing like what we saw with the Moto 360. That being said, if you had your eye on LG’s G Watch, you might be interested to learn that LG France has announced that the device will be launching in Europe in June.
No specific dates were mentioned but we guess we can look forward to a June release. In fact this seems to corroborate an earlier rumor which suggested that LG could be officially releasing the device after Google I/O 2014 which will be taking place in the later part of June. The device has also been given a price tag of 199 EUR.
Unfortunately there was no mention of when the LG G Watch will see a release in the US or how much it will cost, but some have speculated that it could maintain the same price tag, except that it will cost $199 instead. While LG’s smartwatch might not necessarily be the most beautifully design watch, it does come with the usual features and then some, so perhaps there might be something in it that could appeal to you.
The LG G Watch will also come in at least two colors – Stealth Black and Champagne Gold. So, what do you guys think? Will you be picking up an LG G Watch of your own, or did you have your eye on the Moto 360 whose release date still remains a mystery?
