Leaked iPhone Component Suggests Redesigned Volume Buttons [Rumor]

Based on everything we’ve seen and heard so far, there is a chance that the next-gen iPhone will sport a new design. In fact given Apple’s history, a new design is more or less expected, but what can we look forward to in the next-gen iPhone? Well so far the rumors suggest a design similar to the iPad Air, with more curved edges, a repositioned sleep/wake button, and now thanks to a leaked image, new volume buttons as well.

As you can see in the image to the right, it supposedly shows the volume button component belonging to the next-gen iPhone. It’s a bit hard to see, admittedly, but it seems that Apple is going with a pill shape design for the buttons, as opposed to the iPhone 5/5s in which the volume buttons were just circles. There’s no way of telling if the leaked component in question does belong to the iPhone 6 since such a design would be very easy to fake, so take it with a grain of salt for now.

Also the component is placed next to what appears to be a schematic of the phone, which once again seems to resemble that of the iPad Air with its curved edges, compared to that of the iPhone 5/5s where the edges and sides of the phone were noticeably sharper. Once again there’s no way of knowing if this is the real but, but given that most of the leaks and rumors seem to point towards such a design, it’s starting to become more believable.

Recently there have also been rumors suggesting that the iPhone 6 could even sport a curved display, but we’re not sure if that’s just wishful thinking or it could be a new design and possibly new features that Apple could surprise us with. Either way we will be keeping our eyes and ears peeled for more info.
