Rumors about the Apple iWatch are a dime a dozen. For the past couple of years it has been extensively rumored that Apple is working on a smartwatch, though nothing has materialized just yet. While the company has said it is going to enter new product categories this year, it hasn’t explicitly confirmed if wearables are on its mind just yet. No one really knows if or when the iWatch is going to be unveiled. A new rumor out of Vietnam claims that the iWatch is destined for the market come September.
The rumor also claims that it is going to have a flexible OLED display which will be supplied by LG. Previously it was rumored that multiple companies would supply the display for iWatch, but this rumor claims LG will be the sole supplier of the flexible OLED. It also reiterates a previous rumor about two display sizes for the iWatch. A few weeks back it was rumored that a 1.3-inch and a 1.5-inch iWatch will be released simultaneously.
Apple is expected to launch its new iPhones this September. Both are expected to feature larger displays and perhaps even some design changes. Apple may position the iWatch as a companion device to the new smartphones, so it would make sense to unveil and launch both products together. While this is possible, its not confirmed, so we still have to sit back and wait for official word from Cupertino.
