We’re sure many are looking forward to the next-gen iPhone. After all if the rumors are true, it could finally be the bigger iPhone that everyone has been waiting for. That being said, a new rumor has surfaced from Mac Otakara with some pretty wild claims.
According to the report, it seems that there is a possibility that the next-gen iPhone could sport curved edges, as opposed to the slightly more squared-off edges that Apple has favored in its design over the past few years.
The report also claims that in order to facilitate this design, Apple will require that the display glass be slightly curved as well. If you’re trying to imagine what this looks like, you can think about the Samsung Galaxy S3 whose edges are more curved compared to its predecessor and its successors, which have gone back to a more traditional design.
It’s a pretty wild claim, like we said, and it does not seem to be in line with the rumors and leaked schematics we’ve seen so far which has suggested a more iPad Air-like design. However these are just rumors for now and with Apple, there’s really no way of telling until the device has been officially announced.
In any case we are a little skeptical, although in all fairness Mac Otakara has been right in the past regarding Apple-related rumors, so perhaps they could be right about this as well, but what do you guys think?
