According to Hyundai, its 2015 Sonata will be made available to dealerships some time in the early part of summer later this year, without divulging information on its pricing and availability. We do know that Hyundai’s CarPlay offering is tipped to be a whole lot easier on one’s pockets compared to the other more premium brands that CarPlay has partnered with, where they include the likes of Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, and Volvo.
This bit of news arrives a day after Pioneer officially announced that it will deliver CarPlay to its range of current 2014 in-dash systems via a firmware update. As for other automotive manufacturers such as Ford and Toyota, they are tipped to unveil new products at the auto show too in the month ahead, although Honda remains the only partner who has committed to CarPlay for this year without featuring an announced compatible ride – yet.
