Huawei has something to announce on the 7th of May in Paris, at least based on the invites that the Chinese company has been busy handing out. The product in question that could be potentially unveiled is the Huawei Ascend P7 whose photos have been making their way online, and now thanks to a teaser video released by Huawei, it looks like the Ascend P7 is all but confirmed.
The video features a bunch of Huawei handsets falling around like dominos around the world. We’re not sure what that’s supposed to signify; the company’s plans to ship as many devices as they can, or maybe it’s symbolic of all their previous phones leading up to the latest Ascend P7. The last image in the teaser also resembles that of the leaked cases we’ve seen which corroborates the rumors.
In any case for those who might have missed our coverage of the handset, word on the street has it that the Ascend P7 could feature a 5-inch Full HD display, a quad-core 1.6GHz HiSilicon processor with 2GB of RAM, a 13MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, a 2,460mAh battery, and will come with Android 4.4 KitKat preinstalled.
Huawei is also rumored to use a custom skin of their own on top of the Android interface that is part of their EmotionUI 2.0 skin. This is supposed to be a very huge change from the previous skins that Huawei has used in the past, but we guess we’ll just have to wait until the 7th of May to find out more. Until then take it with a grain of salt, but who else is looking forward to Huawei’s latest handset?
