Huawei tends to make pretty decent devices that comes with a relatively low price tag and if you’re interested in some of Huawei’s offerings, you might be interested to learn that Huawei could be planning on selling their Ascend Mate 2 in the US, thanks to a recently setup website which appears to be targeted at customers in the US.
For those unfamiliar with the Ascend Mate 2, the handset was announced earlier this year at CES 2014 and the handset had reportedly gone on sale in China not too long after, however we’re sure many are wondering what about the US or other markets around the world? Will they be able to get their hands on the device?
The Ascend Mate 2 is Huawei’s attempt at the phablet and will pack a 6.1-inch 720p HD display. Granted this isn’t Full HD as we’re sure many would have preferred, but we reckon it should get the job done and then some. The handset will also be powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor with 16GB of onboard storage, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, a 4,050mAh battery with Android 4.4 KitKat running the show.
Apart from the display, the rest of the handset seems to feature some pretty stellar hardware. Pricing in the US remains unknown but back in China, it has been reportedly price at around $493 which makes it a relatively affordable when considering those specs. It’s not exactly cheap but at the same time not overly pricey as well. Either way hopefully more details will be revealed in the coming days.
