It has just been a week since the Samsung Galaxy S5 hit all of the major markets worldwide, and what a week it has been – the flagship smartphone from Samsung that is waterproof has managed to make up 0.7% of all Android-powered smartphones that are in the market already, thanks to its April 11th release across 125 countries around the world.
Needless to say, it is not a surprise then to hear that its opening day sales managed to top that of its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S4. Of course, this bit of information hails from a mobile analytics agency known as Localytics, who performed a study on the Galaxy S5’s sales pattern from April 11 to April 18.
Localytics claimed that the adoption rate of the Samsung Galaxy S5 is “especially impressive” due to the fact that many people did look forward to the Galaxy S5, in addition to having this device go toe-to-toe with other high-end Android devices that occupy a rather fragmented and populated market.
