As April 14th draws closer, it would also signal the official launch of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on the Sony PS4 platform. Well, before that particular day happens, Square Enix has rolled out Beta Phase 2 for the game, which happens to be an open beta to all PS4 owners who play between now until 1AM PT on Monday, April 7th. Phase 2 would see the use of live game servers, where you will be able to join up with the other PC and PS3 gamers, making use of existing characters in the Beta so that there is a sense of continuity.
Other than that, there will be new characters as well as player progress which has been specially created during Phase 2, where all of these will then be able to be transferred over to the full game when it finally launches on April 14th. Should you want to play A Realm Reborn early being the early bird and all, do take note that placing a pre-order on the Standard or Collector’s Edition would then enable you to begin playing on Friday, April 11th.
In order to begin enjoying the open beta on your beloved PS4, head on to the PlayStation Store and download Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (Beta Version). After downloading, the installation will kick off by itself, where you boot up Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (Beta Version) from the home screen. Follow up by logging in with a Square Enix account and follow the on-screen instructions in order to start the game, and you’re good to go. Enjoy!
