We know that Mario Kart 8 is expected to see a release on the 30th of May, but what if you don’t have a Wii U? Well the obvious answer would be to go out and get yourself the console if you were hoping to play the game, but not just yet. Thanks to a recent image of a box art that appeared online, it seems that there will be a Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundle that could be released, thus allowing gamers to buy both the game and the console at the same time.
The bundle is said to launch on the 30th of May, which is the same time as the game itself, so you will be able to enjoy it the minute it has been released. Now Nintendo has yet to officially announce the bundle themselves, so do take it with a grain of salt for now, but at the same time we wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo indeed had such a bundle planned.
No word on how much this bundle will cost, but presumably it will be priced the same as other bundles. Based on the box art, it also seems that this bundle will include a black Wii U Premium console, a copy of the Mario Kart 8 game, as well as a free trial for Nintendo’s Wii U Karaoke app that is good for a week.
Mario Kart 8 is definitely one of the more anticipated first-party Wii U games that is expected to launch this year. The other is probably Super Smash Bros. although according to Nintendo’s announcement, the Wii U version of the game is only pegged for a winter release, but the 3DS version of the game is expected to see a release in time for summer.
