If you were one of the many people living in the U.S. who bought a Google Glass chances are that you are now researching about apps and games that you can download once your unit arrives. Yesterday for one day only Google allowed all U.S. residents to purchase Glass. If you have a unit or are getting one soon, do check out Starwood group’s new app which allows Glass users to book hotels through the wearable device. Its one of the first mega-hotel chain to embrace Glass.
Starwood owns a laundry list of properties that can fit all budgets, so wherever you travel, chances are that a Starwood property will be available there. The SPG for Glass app lets users search for Starwood properties around the world, explore room photos, hotel amenities and more straight through the app. Users will also be able to get turn by turn directions to the property so they won’t have to wander around helplessly in a new city.
The app will also allow users to make reservations directly through Google Glass. They will be able to call the hotel through Glass itself, so it would be easier to seek directions if you get lost. The app is currently in beta but will continue to be updated based on feedback from users.
