When it comes to picking out smartphones, we tend to go for more mainstream brands like Apple, Samsung, LG, Motorola, HTC, Sony, and so on, but that does not mean that these are the only brands out there. In fact over in the US, BLU Products has been somewhat quietly producing their own handsets although they haven’t exactly been receiving the same amount of attention.
That being said, it seems that BLU Products wants to try their hand at Windows Phone handsets and according to a post on their Facebook page, the company is teasing what appears to be an upcoming Windows Phone device. BLU Products has typically released Android devices in the past so it will be interesting to see what they will be able to bring to the table as far as Windows Phone is concerned.
Unfortunately apart from the teaser image, the company did not mention what sort of hardware specs we might be able to expect from the phone. However the device pictured does resemble the Dash 5.0, another one of the company’s handsets which packs a 5-inch display, so there is a chance that this device could feature the same display size as well.
The Dash 5.0 also came with a 1.3GHz dual-core processor but given that Windows Phone now supports quad-core, here’s hoping that BLU Products will be offering that as well. In any case no word on when the company will officially unveil the device, but we’ll definitely keep our eyes peeled for more info!
