While Blizzard might only be one company, their games have created an extremely loyal and huge following and community to the point where the company sees fit for it to launch their own event on an annual basis – BlizzCon. Now the good news is that BlizzCon 2014 has been announced and it will be taking place on the 7-8th of November 2014 in Anaheim, California.
The first batch of BlizzCon tickets will be sold on the 7th of May while the next batch will go on sale on the 10th of May. The tickets cost $200 plus taxes and fees, and for those who want to do their bid for charity, there will be pre-BlizzCon dinner tickets that will be sold for $750, with all proceeds going towards the Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
Blizzard has also announced that they will be selling virtual tickets like they did the previous year, making it ideal for those who cannot attend either because they don’t have the money or live in a different state or country. Blizzard has not revealed what sort of goodies gamers can look forward to if they attend either in-person or online, but we expect those details will be shared at a later date.
There’s also no telling what Blizzard will announce this year because typically at BlizzCon, Blizzard tends to announce new games. Given that the Diablo 3 expansion was only recently released, we can scratch that off the list. The World of Warcraft expansion, Warlords of Draenor has also been announced, leaving us with the next StarCraft 2 expansion, Legacy of the Void, as a distinct possibility.
Blizzard could also announce release dates for games like Heroes of the Storm and while it might be wishful thinking, perhaps Blizzard might even share details about their next-gen MMO codenamed “Titan” or “Overwatch”. So, who’s planning on attending the event?
