ASUS K01A Tablet Hits The FCC

When it comes to Android-powered tablets, one ought not to overlook the experience that Taiwanese company ASUS has had in this department. After all, they were the ones who introduced the likes of the Transformer, the Padfone, and the MeMo series, not to mention being the company that churned out both the 2012 and 2013 Google Nexus 7 models. Well, why keep all of that tablet making experience in reserve when you can work on a new model, right? This is exactly what the ASUS K01A is all about, having received approval from the folks over at the FCC.

The 7” ASUS K01A tablet will feature Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.0 LE connectivity, and this looks set to be an entry level or mid-range device, considering how the relatively low 600 x 1024 pixels resolution screen will be accompanied by a paltry (by today’s high end standards) 4GB of internal memory, with a microSD memory card slot available for expansion purposes. There will be two cameras too, with one in the front, while another is at the back, on the ASUS K01A, although their megapixel count remains unknown. Chances are this will be an Android-powered device, and we will be shocked out of our system if it isn’t. Hopefully ASUS makes an official announcement on the K01A soon.
