Now thanks to a recent post on Weibo, a new photo has surfaced, this time claiming to be the front panel of the next-gen iPhone. As we can see in the photo, a black iPhone 5s is pictured next to front panel, so as to compare the difference in sizes. As we can all see, it is obvious that the panel to the right is significantly larger, although we’re not sure if this is a 4.7-inch model or the rumored 5.5-inch model.
Apart from the difference in size, everything else looks pretty standard, like the usual cut outs for the speaker, front-facing camera, ambient light sensor, and the home button/Touch ID. The front panel also shows off bezels which appear to be thinner than its predecessors, which we guess is a good thing as it does give the illusion that the phone is larger than it really is.
There’s no way of telling if the photo we are seeing is the real deal or simply a fake, but either way it does make a good mockup and gives us an idea of what we can expect if Apple were indeed to release a larger iPhone later this year. So until we can get more proof and confirmation, we suggest you take this with a grain of salt for now.
